Dr. Sean Hershberger

The Personal Side

Serving the population of Active Duty Navy Sailors and Marines was an incredible honor, and many lifelong friendships were developed. In 2023, Dr. Hershberger returned with Abigail and their eight children to Lincoln. They love being immersed in Nebraska culture, engaged with the Huskers, and close to family and friends. They are always on the go attending kids activities, sporting events, and family gatherings. Dr. Hershberger loves to be on the golf course and out in the community, and is usually recognizable by the trail of miniatures.

The Professional Side

Dr. Sean Hershberger earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska in 2012 and completed advanced education in general dentistry through the United States Navy in 2013. He practiced general dentistry at Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia and Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in North Carolina before continuing his education at the University of Texas Health, where he earned a Master of Dental Science degree in 2020. Also in 2020, he became a board-certified oral and maxillofacial radiologist (head and neck) under the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), one of the highest recognitions an oral and maxillofacial radiologist can earn. 

Currently, Dr. Herschberger is the only board-certified OMR in the entire state of Nebraska and one of four in the nation. Dr. Hershberger has also completed advanced, board-approved education requirements to receive a license to administer moderate sedation in 2023. Because of his extensive educational training, clinical experience, and specialty board certification, Dr. Hershberger is uniquely qualified to deliver advanced, comprehensive dental care. 

His commitment to excellence and ongoing learning enables him to deliver patients the highest level of safety, accuracy, and compassion in every aspect of their care.
